    John-Edvard is a certified board member through the Swedish Academy of Board Directors (StyrelseAkademien) and holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Jönköping University.

  • Johan Lilliecreutz, Chair

    Elected in 2022.

    Johan holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management and a PhD in Industrial Marketing from Linköping University. He has professional experience as Marketing Manager at Swedish Gate Arrays and as Deputy CEO and Partner at CMA Research AB. Today, Johan serves as Group CEO and CEO of Linköping University Holding AB. Within the group, he also holds adjunct roles in the subsidiaries Unitalent AB and LEAD i Östergötland AB, and serves as CEO of LiU Invest AB. Johan also has a background as a reserve officer in the K4 regiment.

    In addition to his role on the board of MDU Holding, Johan has external assignments in Prospector in Linköping, as owner, and C&J Lilliecreutz AB, as owner and Chair. He also holds positions in Rove AB, as Chair; Linnaeus University Development AB, as Board Member; Linnaeus Competence AB, as Board Member; Linnaeus Venture AB, as Board Member; LTU Holding AB, as Board Member; and LTU Business AB, as Board Member.

  • Helena Jerregård

    Elected in 2022.

    Helena Jerregård is Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Collaboration at Mälardalen University and a Senior Lecturer in Medical Technology. She has extensive experience of strategic leadership in academia, business, and the public sector. Helena played a key role in the transformation of Mälardalen University College into a university. She has also led the development of a new vision and strategy for the institution and worked with external partners to create a leading innovation support system in Sweden.

    She previously served as CEO of the research institute RISE SICS Västerås AB, where she built the organisation from the ground up and established collaborations with more than 200 partners. She has also worked as Process Leader for Automation Region and as a Research Coordinator at Mälardalen University.

    Helena holds several board and steering committee assignments. She is a Board Member of Automation Region and Electrification Hub, and a member of the supervisory council of the County Administrative Board of Västmanland. She also serves as an evaluator for Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency, and the Caixa Foundation.

    With a research background in neurobiology from Linköping University and a strong interest in innovation, digitalization, and sustainable societal development, Helena combines scientific expertise with practical leadership. She is an experienced speaker and has published both scientific articles and popular science texts.

  • Paul Pettersson

    Elected in 2023.

    Paul Pettersson, born in 1967, is a Board Member. He holds a PhD and the title of Associate Professor in Computer Science from Uppsala University. He is currently Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Doctoral Education and Professor of Real-Time Systems at Mälardalen University. Paul has many years of academic research experience and has founded several research-based startup companies during his career. He has held a number of senior academic leadership positions, including six years as Vice-Chancellor and three years as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Mälardalen University. He has also served on boards of startup companies and science parks, as well as on supervisory councils at government agencies. Paul currently resides in Palo Alto, USA.

    In addition to his role on the board of MDU Holding, Paul currently serves on the boards of MainlyAI AB, UP4ALL International AB, as Chair, Fersman Holding AB, as Chair, and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce USA.

  • Jenny Engerfelt

    Elected in 2025.

    Jenny holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Linnaeus University, specializing in entrepreneurship. She has more than 16 years of experience investing in early-stage technology and research-based startups. Jenny is a Partner at the Nordic deep-tech venture capital firm Voima Ventures, which invests in research-based spin-offs in the Nordic and Baltic regions, primarily in the green transition, life sciences, and breakthrough technologies. Before joining Voima Ventures, Jenny worked as both a Fund Manager and an Investment Manager at Almi Invest.

    In addition to her role on the board of MDU Holding, Jenny holds board positions in ArgusEye AB, Cellfion AB, and Monidor Oy, and serves as Chair of Understatement AB.
